Start with High Velocity Mag to secure and deny souls during lane and make right-clicks harder to dodge. Add Headshot Booster and Close Quarters for better trades. Use Mystic Burst for lane trading, but note it only procs with a charge of at least 0.7 seconds. Extra Health and Enduring Spirit protect against burst damage. Mystic Shot and Cold Front are key sources of damage beyond Power Slash.

Mid Game
Save up 3000 souls to buy Torment Pulse, marking a significant power spike. Follow with Improved Cooldown, which reduces the cooldown on abilities and other key items like Headshot Booster and Mystic Shot. Headhunter boosts right-click speed and headshot burst. Focus on Improved Burst for percentage max HP damage, becoming more effective as health pools increase. Point Blank can be skipped initially, but buy it when slots are full.

Late Game
In the late game, focus on effective spirit items like Mystic Vulnerability and Duration Extender. Upgrade Shadow Transformation (4) with Superior Duration, or if slots are limited, upgrade Power Slash (1) with Superior Cooldown. For excess gold, consider Phantom Strike for dealing with elusive heroes, Soul Rebirth for added survivability, Mystic Reverb for burst damage, or Refresher after acquiring other key items.
